What to expect
After a morning visiting the ancient city of Caunos and the Dalyan Delta via boat, you’ll ride past beautiful views of Lake Koycegiz before heading through groves of pomegranate and citrus of nearby agricultural villages. The ride ends in Akyaka, known for its rustic architecture, up and coming bars and restaurants, and popular kitesurfing beach.
Start the day with a sail to Sedir Island, home to beautiful beaches and ancient ruins. Back on shore, you’ll pedal from Camli, past Marmaris and make the dramatic ascent (and descent) into the Bozburun Peninsula. The day ends in Kumlubuk, one of the longest, sandiest, and most picturesque beaches you’ll see on the trip.
Today’s ride takes you up a steep yet rewarding road to the traditional villages of Osmaniye and Bayir, before continuing on a scenic stretch of asphalt over the barren, rocky terrain of the peninsula. Pedal straight into Selimiye, a quiet town popular as a stopover on yachting voyages.
Last day on the Bozburun Peninsula, you’ll head along the Aegean coastline once again, this time towards the red rocky hills of the Datca Peninsula’s narrowest point. Beautiful views of the sea and unique terrain await before you end the ride in Karaincir, a beachside settlement of Emecik Village.
Heading deeper into Datca, this route leads riders past the cobblestoned streets of Datca’s old town, through the traditional village of Hizirsah, and back down to the dramatic coast and endless beaches of Mesudiye. Today’s shorter ride will leave you plenty of time to explore the calm seas and lively atmosphere of Palamutbuku.
Our last ride of the trip, the highlight of today is the ancient city of Knidos and the unforgettable hillside and beaches that surround it. After visiting the ruins, you’ll continue high above the coast past more quaint villages before ending the ride at the ferry port in Karakoy. Take the ferry to Bodrum and enjoy a night meandering along the city’s lively shore.
Depending on time of departure, take some time to explore the narrow streets of Bodrum, do some shopping, or visit the impressive Underwater Archeology Museum.
