What to expect

DAY 1

TRANSFER to Antalya

The transfer will meet you at the airport to take you to your hotel in the old town of Antalya. The trip book, mobile phone and GPS will be ready at the hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may visit some of the nearby sites like the Old Town, Antalya Archaeology Museum, Perge ancient city, or just relax at the Konyaaltı Beach.

DAY 2

DRIVE Antalya to Beycik via Phaselis. WALK Beycik Loop Hike (6.5 km). (B, D)

After picking your rental car up this morning, you’ll drive to the ruins of Phaselis; the sea here is just as or even more impressive than the ancient ruins themselves, swimming is highly recommended! Then from the coast you’ll head straight up into the mountains to reach Beycik, a village sitting high up at 1000m above sea level. After checking into your hotel, you’ll begin the scenic 6.5 km loop hike through the surrounding forest. Have dinner at your hotel and get ready for a nice cool night.

DAY 3

DRIVE Beycik to Hoyran via Olympos. Opt. visit to Myra. (B, D)

Drive from your hotel in Beycik back down to the coast for a visit to Olympos. Visit the ruins and the museum before taking a well-deserved swim in the Olympos beach’s crystal clear waters. In the afternoon head to Hoyran, a small settlement surrounded by ancient rock tombs. Away from the crowds, you’ll feel like the first people to discover these hidden ruins. This is also where you’ll be spending the night tonight.

DAY 4

DRIVE Hoyran to Kas via Kekova. Kekova Boat Tour. (B, L)

Your first stop today is Kekova, home to an ancient city that was partially submerged after an earthquake in ancient times. The best way to visit these ruins is by boat, which is why we’ve arranged a boat tour for you today. After the boat trip, you’ll head to Kas, a lively seaside town. Take lots of time to explore the bars, cafes, ruins and shops on the stone-paved backstreets of Kas.

DAY 5

DRIVE Kas to Gombe. WALK Green Lake Loop. DRIVE to Bezirgan. (B, D)

From your hotel in Kas, you’ll head up to Gombe, where traditionally, shepherds living near Kas would bring their flocks in summer. Enjoy the fresh, cool mountain air with a short loop walk around Gombe’s green lake, and then a picnic on its shady shores. You’ll then head to Bezirgan, a hilltop village with an especially eclectic teahouse. Here you’ll be staying in a traditional village home which has been renovated and made into a guesthouse. Decorated with numerous antiques from the village, you’ll feel like your sleeping in a museum.

DAY 6

DRIVE Bezirgan to Kayakoy via Xanthos and Pinara. (B, L, D)

Leaving your special village retreat, you first stop will be the ancient city of Xanthos, dating back to at least the 8th century BCE, this city was once the capital of ancient Lycia. Next you’ll head to Pinara, another ancient site located in a tranquil mountain setting of pines and olive trees. Here you’ll take a short walk and be served a traditional village lunch. Then drive to Kayakoy where you’ll be staying for the night.

DAY 7

WALK Kayakoy to Oludeniz (6km). DRIVE to Dalyan. Dalyan Boat Tour. (B)

Start the day with a hike through the abandoned Greek village near modern day Kayakoy, then head down to the well-known Oludeniz (Butterfly Valley) Beach. After this beautiful 6 km hike, nothing could be better than a swim. After a transfer back to your hotel, you’ll head to Dalyan. The tour concludes with a boat trip; you’ll see cliffside rock tombs, visit a beach/sea turtle nesting ground, and explore the ruins of Caunos. You will hand the car back when you arrive at the hotel.

DAY 8

Transfer to Dalaman Airport

Our services end today as you are transferred to Dalaman Airport (30 min)
