The undulating path leads to the ancient port or Aperlae, where you can explore the ruins of the lycian settlement. Aperlae was the harbour for the inland cities like Apollonia and Kyaneai, and became rich in Roman times for the production of the purple dye from Murex. As usual, after a breakfast and a swim break, start the hike near Uluburun. The oldest shipwreck int the world was found in this area and is called with the name of the cape “Uluburun Shipwreck”. Dating back to 15th century BCE, the wreck housed treasury items that were carried from Syrio-palastine shores along the mediterranean. Passing by the historic shores, the path reaches Ufakdere. At this point you may call it a day or carry onto Limanağız through the rocky paths with wonderful views of the coast and the Greek island of Meis. Limanağzı is a sheltered bay to the east of Kaş and this is where you will anchor for the night.

A gulet is a traditional Turkish wooden sailing boat, now often used for holiday cruises. Depending on the size of the boat, usually between 12 to 40 meters, the number of the cabins can increase. For our tours, we are using a 12 meter boat with 2 cabins (both double beds). Both cabins have showers, hot water and toilets. There is also an open deck for sunbathing or sleeping under the stars, as most people do. The dining table at the back of the boat is large enough for up to 6 people to eat comfortably.
For groups larger than 4, please contact us for details on other boats.
Please check with us for the availibility of boats of different sizes.
Trip books are included in all our tours. Our trip books are complete packages of information which will help you to find your way through the itinerary we have created for you. Putting in significant time end effort, we have compiled this book which includes Google Earth Maps, Highlighted routes, Touristic information, pick up and drop off points and easy to follow directions with pictures.
Although, most of the routes along the tours are very well way marked, we decided to provide GPS units which are simple to use, easy to read nonetheless sophisticated devices. The routes and waypoints (including water sources, pickup points and hotels) described in the trip books are preloaded in the GPS. All you have to do is follow the route shown on the device. 1 GPS is provided for every group.
With the experiences we have had, we thought that it is best to provide every group with a mobile phone with a pre-paid Turkish sim-card. This helps a a lot in making arrangements during the trip. The phone numbers of the hotels, emergency numbers and the contact details for the company are already listed in the mobile phones.
